The primary purpose of this position is to Administer a variety of complex respiratory therapy treatment to ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients in wards and intensive care units.

- Set up, monitor and troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as volume, time- cycled, pressure ventilators, blood/gas analyzers, and oxygen administration systems.
- Review patient's medical records for pertinent information such as the specific area (e.g., lobe) involved, sputum indications, X-rays, etc. Use stethoscope to listen to patient's breathing.
- Positions patient explains procedures and sets the patient ease. Recognize and report results and/or reactions to the supervisor or a physician, unusual or unfavorable results or reactions.
- Monitors associated equipment in order to direct significant changes in vital signs, amount and concentration of medical gases.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
