The Relief Night Auditor is the hotel representative during overnight hours in the absence of the Lead Night Auditor assisting the customers and the public in all front desk related functions in an efficient, courteous and professional manner that maintains high quality of guest services. This position is also responsible for supporting night auditor functions such as ensuring accurate billing and running transaction reports, and for the safety and security of hotel guests and entire facility.Job Requirements
Education:Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service and six (6) months working in a clerical capacity is required. Hotel experience a plus. Previous cash handling and/or transaction experience required.
A combination of experience and education may be considered.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires solid knowledge, skills, and abilities that include customer service and front desk duties.
Basic math skills are required.
Must have excellent customer service skills, pleasant personality and love interacting with guests. Must be able to handle customer issues in a professional manner, be able to answer customer's queries and provide then with necessary information and be capable of handling an emergency situation.
Must have the ability to perform multiple functions at once and the ability to handle the public in a friendly and professional manner.
The ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with staff and customers is required. Ability to understand verbal information and instruction. Ability to exchange information with others and to develop and present recommendations. Reads and understands written information. Ability to compose information and instruction in written form. The ability to process transaction reports and ensure accurate billing.
Regularly works without supervision within established organizational values, policies and procedures.
Skill in the use of a computer terminal and related peripheral equipment such as phone and copier.Additional Information
Work Hours: This is a variable hour position. Please note weekly work hours will vary and will require nights, weekends and/or holiday hours.
