Job Responsibilities

Receives, sorts, stores, issues and delivers supplies, equipment and mail. Physically assists in the movement and relocation of college property, equipment and supplies, using a forklift and/or pallet jack. This position requires extensive walking and physical work inside a warehouse, delivering shipments, delivering mail and moving furniture. The Logistics Specialist supports the Inventory/Moves department, Postal Operations and Shipping and Receiving as directed by the MIL Manager. Training will be provided in hand-held scanner operation and multiple logistics software applications. The position will also perform general maintenance of the Materials Support Facility and other duties as assigned in support of Midlands Technical College logistics operations Support Services and the directives of the MIL Manager.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

The Logistics Specialist must demonstrate the ability to operate a basic computer, utilize Microsoft Office software and perform basic math. The position requires a valid South Carolina's Driver's license and the ability to lift 70 pounds independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Must possess a clean driving record, possess a valid forklift license, and possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
