The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manages and administers Energy Performance contracts having a project value of up to $30 million from conceptual planning through design, construction and operation during the payback period.
- Prepares the Quarterly Energy Management and Control Report, chairs monthly meetings of the Medical Center and Engineering Service Energy Conservation Committees to keep Medical Center personnel informed of energy consumption trends, and solicits suggestions for reducing energy consumption and establishing energy conservation policies.
- Leads energy project design teams, or contracted design services in the preparation of complete design packages, and in providing the full range of engineering services in support of the Veteran Affair's energy management program.
- Evaluates and determines compliance of shop drawings, samples, certificates of compliance, laboratory analyses, certifications, and other submittals from contractors for contract and performance requirements.
