The general diagnostic radiologic technologist operates independently and without direct supervision as the technologist responsible for the performance and coordination of all diagnostic radiology examinations. These exams are performed with and without the use of contrast materials. The purpose of these exams is to achieve quality diagnostic studies so that proper diagnosis and treatment will be delivered.

Overview of the duties for this position include but are not limited to:

The incumbent prepares contrast materials under the direction of the radiologist for the purpose of performing exams requiring injectable solutions such as IVPs, cystograms, cholangiograms, fistulagrams, arthrograms, and myelograms for the purpose of performing oral and rectal exams of the GI tract. Help to maintain effective control of the Radiology department by coordinating, organizing and executing the work potential to expedite workflow patterns within the department. Performs all Diagnostic procedures to include all administrative duties associated with each. Maintain current BLS certification and complete all required TMS courses. Timely sets up RME (Re-usable Medical Equipment) in preparation for a procedure as outlined in the equipment Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Work Schedule: Rotating shifts, Mon-Fri, Weekends, Holidays, Various Tours of duty and can be changed based on agency needs.
