This vacancy is located within the Louisiana Department of Revenue ? Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control and is located in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Vacancy Information:
This vacancy will be filled as a temporary Classified WAE (CWAE). Incumbents in these positions may not work more than 1,245 hours or 1 year, whichever comes first.

This position will bedomiciled in East Baton Rouge Parish. Applicants must select this parish on their application to indicate that they are available to work in the parish of this vacancy.

A Tax and Natural Disaster Clearance will be conducted on all selected applicants to validate the timely submission of tax returns and payments. It is a requirement that all Revenue employees must adhere to all tax laws of the State of Louisiana.

Responsibilities and/or Preferences:
The incumbent will provide administrative and clerical support to the Deputy Assistant Secretary and Legal Division. Will conduct research and collect data for special projects as assigned, and will coordinate the flow of paperwork among various sections of the Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control. Will interpret departmental policies and procedures for staff members and the general public.

No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of experience in which clerical work was a major duty.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Training in a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for the required experience on the basis of six months of training for six months of experience for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
Completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of 15 semester hours for six months of experience.
NOTE:
Business or technical school training with less than completion will only be credited in six month increments.Similarly, college training will only be credited in 15 semester hour increments.
NOTE:
Any college hours or degree must be from a school accredited by one of the following regional accrediting bodies: the Middle States Commission on Higher Education; the New England Commission of Higher Education; the Higher Learning Commission; the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
